Ingredients

  • 1 small loaf of bakery bread (sourdough or Italian are good choices)
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 6 tbsp salted butter (softened)
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Place the unpeeled garlic cloves in the air fryer basket and air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes until soft.
  2. Remove skins and finely chop or press the softened garlic.
  3. Mix the prepared garlic with softened butter, grated Parmesan, and dried parsley.
  4. Cut the bread loaf in half lengthwise, ensuring it fits the air fryer basket.
  5. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both cut sides of the bread.
  6. Sandwich the bread halves back together, buttered sides facing in.
  7. Place the whole loaf in the air fryer basket and fry at 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes until golden and crispy.

Notes

- Use good quality bakery bread like sourdough or Italian for the best texture.
- Ensure the butter is truly softened for easy spreading.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of black pepper to the butter mixture.
- Don't overcrowd the air fryer; ensure air can circulate for crispiness.
