Ingredients
Method
- Set the steaks on a plate and allow them to warm up a bit out of the fridge, about 20 minutes. Sprinkle the steaks evenly on both sides with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for about 5 minutes.
- Place the steaks in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes. Flip the steaks over and cook for an additional 6 minutes. Check the internal temperature of the steaks. Remove the steaks once the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F - which is about a medium cook.
- While the steak is cooking in the air fryer, prepare the shrimp cream sauce.
- Melt the butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes, until the shrimp starts to turn pink, stirring the shrimp often. Stir in the garlic and cook for an additional minute, until the garlic is fragrant.
- Add the wine and cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of salt and the chives and remove from heat.
- Serve the steaks topped with the shrimp cream sauce.
Notes
- Ensure steaks are at room temperature before air frying for even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow for proper circulation and searing.
- Adjust cooking time based on steak thickness and desired doneness.
- For a richer sauce, use a good quality dry white wine.
