Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (205°C) for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine 1 lb. ground beef with 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Stir well to distribute.
- Spread about 1/4 cup of beef mixture onto each of the 6 tortillas, pressing it thin to cover the edges.
- Season the meat side of each tortilla with salt and ground black pepper.
- Carefully place the tortilla-smash burgers into the air fryer basket, meat-side up. Work in batches; do not overcrowd.
- Air fry at 400°F (205°C) for 5 minutes, or until the beef is cooked and the tortilla is slightly crispy.
- Top each cooked smash burger with a slice of American cheese. Return to the air fryer for 1 minute to melt.
- Remove from the air fryer, top generously with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and a drizzle of burger sauce. Fold gently into a taco and enjoy immediately!
Notes
- For an authentic Big Mac flavor, use a 1000 Island dressing as your burger sauce if you don't have a specific recipe.
- Ensure your air fryer is fully preheated for maximum crispiness on the tortilla.
- Cook in batches to avoid steaming the tortillas; they should get delightfully crisp. Nutrition information is an estimate, calculated automatically. Values vary with brands, substitutions and portion sizes.
