Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb green beans (washed and stems trimmed)
  • 1/2 tablespoon neutral-flavored oil (olive oil, grapeseed oil, etc)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt or sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (freshly ground preferred)

Method
 

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400ºF (200°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, toss the green beans with oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic.
  3. Pour into the air fryer basket and shake to distribute evenly. Air fry for 7-9 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. With 1 minute remaining in the cook time, add the remaining 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic to the green beans. Shake the basket and continue cooking until crispy.
  5. Serve immediately.

- For extra crispy air fried green beans, ensure they are thoroughly dry before tossing with oil and seasonings. Any excess moisture will steam them instead of crisping.
- Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary to allow proper air circulation, which is key for that perfect crisp texture.
