- 1 large head of fresh broccoli
- 1/2 fresh lemon
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Wash the broccoli. Cut the florets into bite-sized pieces.
Toss the broccoli florets with the vegetable oil, salt, and pepper. Add the broccoli to the basket of your air fryer in a single layer. Add the lemon half.
Air fry the broccoli and lemon at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes. Open the basket halfway through cooking time. Use tongs to move the broccoli around to make sure it cooks evenly.
Place the air-fried broccoli into a clean bowl. Squeeze the juice from the lemon half over the broccoli. Top with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
- For extra crispy florets, ensure the broccoli is completely dry before tossing with oil. Excess moisture can steam the broccoli instead of crisping it.
- Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary to maintain a single layer. This allows hot air to circulate properly around each piece.
- If you prefer a softer texture, reduce the cooking time by a minute or two. For more char, add an extra minute at the end.
