Ingredients
Method
- Place the frozen orange chicken in the air fryer basket and spread out into a single even layer. No oil spray is needed. Set the sauce aside (do not sauce the chicken yet).
- Air Fry at 400°F/205°C for 8 minutes. Shake and flip the chicken pieces over and then continue to Air Fry at 400°F/205°C for another 2-4 minutes or until heated through and crispy.
- Warm the orange sauce in microwave for 1 minute or on stovetop for 2-3 minutes on medium heat. Toss cooked chicken with as much sauce as desired. Garnish with optional cilantro and/or green onion and serve on cooked rice if desired.
Notes
- For the crispiest orange chicken, ensure the chicken pieces are spread in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Overcrowding can steam the chicken instead of crisping it.
- If you prefer a less saucy orange chicken, only use half of the provided sauce packet. You can always add more to taste.
- Store any leftover cooked orange chicken and sauce separately in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat the chicken in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes to regain crispness, then toss with warmed sauce. Nutrition information is an estimate, calculated automatically. Values vary with brands, substitutions and portion sizes.
