Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw shrimp, deveined and shells removed
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, fresh lemon juice, celery salt, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed, then set aside.
  2. Rinse and pat dry the shrimp. Coat shrimp with oil, and then season with salt and pepper. Place the shrimp in the air fryer basket or tray in a single layer.
  3. Air fry shrimp at 400°F (200°C) for 8-12 minutes, or until cooked through and pink. Check halfway through, as cooking time varies by shrimp size. Let cool completely.
  4. Serve the chilled shrimp with the cocktail sauce. Garnish with fresh lemon slices and cucumber if desired.

Notes

- Ensure shrimp are fully thawed before air frying for even cooking.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- For a keto-friendly version, use a low-carb tomato sauce instead of ketchup.
