Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen shrimp (thawed), peeled and deveined, raw
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 4 tbsp salted butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp Old Bay seasoning

Method

  1. Thaw shrimp completely according to package directions. Ensure they are peeled, deveined, and raw. Do NOT attempt to air fry from frozen.
  2. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with vegetable oil. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Thoroughly dry the thawed shrimp with paper towels to ensure crispiness. Sprinkle both sides evenly with 1 tsp of Old Bay seasoning.
  4. Arrange the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket. You may need to cook in two batches to avoid overcrowding.
  5. Air fry for 3-4 minutes. Flip the shrimp using tongs and cook for an additional 3 minutes, or until pink and opaque.
  6. While shrimp cooks, melt the butter. Whisk in the chopped parsley, minced garlic, lemon juice, and the remaining 1/4 tsp Old Bay seasoning. Drizzle this flavorful mixture over the cooked shrimp just before serving.

Notes

- Ensure shrimp are completely thawed and thoroughly dried for maximum crispiness.
- Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- Adjust Old Bay seasoning to your preference, or use a different spice blend.
