Ingredients

  • 24 frozen tater tots (about 1/2 pound)
  • 4-5 inches kielbasa or pre-cooked sausage link, sliced 1/2-inch thick and cut into half moons (about 1/4 lb.)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 cup cheese
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • oil spray

Method

  1. Lightly spray a 6-8 inch baking pan with oil. Arrange the frozen tater tots in an even layer on the bottom and spray them lightly with oil as well.
  2. Air fry at 380°F (195°C) for 5-7 minutes, until the tater tots are golden and crispy.
  3. Add the sliced kielbasa sausage pieces, nestling them in between the tater tots. Air fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, shredded cheese, chopped green onions, salt, and pepper.
  5. Gently spread the egg mixture to ensure it coats the spaces between the tater tots and sausage. Carefully place the pan back into the air fryer.
  6. Lower the temperature to 320°F (160°C) and air fry for about 8-10 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the bake is cooked through. If needed, let it continue cooking in the residual heat with the air fryer turned off. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

- Ensure your tater tots are fully golden and crispy before adding the wet ingredients for the best texture.
- Don't overfill the pan; use a 6-8 inch pan for optimal cooking.
- For a creamier texture, use a splash more milk or add a tablespoon of heavy cream to the egg mixture.
