Method
 

  1. Wash the acorn squash thoroughly.
  2. Carefully cut the acorn squash in half lengthwise.
  3. Scoop out and discard the seeds and stringy bits.
  4. Brush the cut surfaces with vegetable oil.
  5. Place squash halves cut-side down in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry at 325°F (160°C) for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove squash, butter the insides, and sprinkle with salt.
  8. Place squash halves cut-side up and air fry for 10-15 minutes until tender.
  9. Drizzle with maple syrup before serving.
