  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

  1. Combine the chopped bittersweet chocolate and unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds until butter is fully melted. Whisk until smooth and combined.
  2. In a separate smaller bowl, whisk the large eggs and granulated sugar together until frothy.
  3. Slowly stream the egg and sugar mixture into the melted chocolate mixture. Stir with a spatula until completely combined.
  4. Sift the all-purpose flour and salt into the chocolate batter. Stir gently until no streaks of flour remain.
  5. Grease two ramekins and divide the batter evenly between them.
  6. Place the prepared ramekins inside your air fryer basket.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly molten.
  8. Carefully remove the ramekins from the air fryer basket. Let cool for a minute before inverting onto plates.

Notes

- Ensure your chocolate is good quality for the best flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter after adding flour to keep the cakes tender.
- Watch the baking time closely; overbaking will result in a fully cooked center, not lava!
