Ingredients
Method
- Combine the chopped bittersweet chocolate and unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 60-90 seconds until butter is fully melted. Whisk until smooth and combined.
- In a separate smaller bowl, whisk the large eggs and granulated sugar together until frothy.
- Slowly stream the egg and sugar mixture into the melted chocolate mixture. Stir with a spatula until completely combined.
- Sift the all-purpose flour and salt into the chocolate batter. Stir gently until no streaks of flour remain.
- Grease two ramekins and divide the batter evenly between them.
- Place the prepared ramekins inside your air fryer basket.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still slightly molten.
- Carefully remove the ramekins from the air fryer basket. Let cool for a minute before inverting onto plates.
Notes
- Ensure your chocolate is good quality for the best flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter after adding flour to keep the cakes tender.
- Watch the baking time closely; overbaking will result in a fully cooked center, not lava!
