AirFryerWise uses cookies, which are short text files your browser keeps between visits. Nothing below is hidden from you.
Keeping this current
Cookies come and go as services change, and this page follows them. It is updated when something actually changes, not periodically for appearance, and the date above says when.
Cookies in use here
- Necessary. Make the site work: page delivery, security, your cookie choice itself. The site cannot function without them.
- Analytics. Google Analytics, in aggregate: which pages get read, how people arrive. No name attached.
- Advertising. Google AdSense may set cookies to choose and cap the ads you see.
Duration
Lifetimes vary: the technical cookies expire with the session, while Google’s analytics and advertising cookies are kept for a period Google sets, typically counted in months.
Which cookies, specifically
- _ga and _gid come from Google Analytics and exist to tell browsers apart when counting visits.
- __gads and __gpi come from Google AdSense, which uses them to pick ads and limit repeats.
- wordpress_test_cookie and the wp-settings-* family are WordPress internals: a capability check and your display preferences.
- comment_author_* appears only after you comment, and only so the form is pre-filled the next time.
It is worth saying what is absent. No cookie here reaches your files, tracks you outside the browser, or gets sold. None exists to put a name to a reader.
Asking first
Anything beyond the strictly necessary is set only after you have answered, in the regions where that is required. Your answer is stored in your browser and nowhere else.
Embedded content
Where a page includes something served from another site, that provider may set cookies of its own when the embed loads. Those are governed by the provider’s policy, not by this page.
Switching them off for good
- Google advertising: adssettings.google.com lets you turn off personalised advertising across sites, not only this one.
- Google Analytics: the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout blocks measurement entirely.
- Your browser: every current browser can block third-party cookies, clear what is stored, or refuse cookies for one site.
Automated signals
Do Not Track headers exist but mean different things to different operators, so we do not claim to act on them. The controls above are the ones with a predictable result.
Refusing them
Browser settings let you refuse cookies site by site or across the board. Reading stays exactly the same without the analytics and ad cookies.
